Returns & Retailer Policies

Important: Purchases are made directly with third-party retailers

ComponentRadar is an independent price-tracking and comparison platform. We do not sell, warehouse, ship, or process payments for any physical PC components.

When you click a link on ComponentRadar and place an order, your transaction and contract of sale are established directly with that merchant. All returns, order cancellations, refunds, shipping inquiries, and warranty claims are governed strictly by the individual retailer's return policy.

1. How Returns Work for Tracked Retailers

Because each merchant manages its own inventory, logistics, and customer support, return procedures, RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) requirements, and eligible return windows vary depending on where you made your purchase.

Below are quick reference links to the return and delivery guidelines for major Irish hardware retailers featured on ComponentRadar:

MemoryCIE Retailer

Offers standard Ireland delivery and online RMA submission for returns, faulty items, and 14-day statutory cooling-off cancellations.

ParadigitIE Retailer

Provides structured customer returns support, statutory return rights, and detailed guidance on return packaging and processing.

EuriekaIE Retailer

Clear returns procedure for business and consumer customers, with direct delivery and cancellation policies for hardware orders.

ElaraIE Retailer

Dedicated RMA request portal and customer support for hardware returns, replacements, and tracked courier delivery inside Ireland.

2. EU & Irish Consumer Rights Overview

When purchasing goods online from businesses operating within Ireland and the European Union, you are protected by statutory consumer legislation, including:

14-Day Right of Withdrawal (Cooling-Off Period)

Under EU consumer law, you generally have the right to cancel your online purchase and return the item within 14 calendar days from the date of physical receipt, without giving any reason. The item should be in original condition with intact packaging.

Faulty or Defective Items (Dead on Arrival / Warranty)

If a component arrives damaged, defective, or develops a fault, you have statutory rights to a repair, replacement, or refund under manufacturer warranty and consumer protection law. Contact the merchant's RMA department promptly.

Return Shipping Costs

Unless a retailer explicitly offers free returns or the item arrived faulty/incorrect, the customer is typically responsible for the direct cost of returning the goods.

3. How to Initiate a Return with a Retailer

  1. Locate Your Order Information: Find the confirmation email, receipt, or invoice issued by the retailer from which you purchased.
  2. Check the Retailer's RMA Guidelines: Visit the retailer's dedicated returns/RMA section to review their specific return timeframe and packaging requirements.
  3. Request an RMA Number: Most computer hardware merchants require submitting an RMA request online before sending items back.
  4. Safely Pack Your Hardware: Pack components in their original anti-static bags, retail boxes, and secure outer packaging to prevent transit damage.
  5. Ship with Tracking: Use a tracked postal or courier service and retain the tracking number until your return is processed and refunded.
